With very thin beaks, this instrument is particularly useful to cut or remove K-wires diameter 0,8 to 2 mm in tight areas.
ALIX cuts by shearing (like a cigar cutter) and not by crushing. As a result, the cut at the end of the pin is neat and burr-free, unlike with most standard cutting instruments.
